Opening Ceremony & Gothia Cards
Every tournament should leave behind a lasting memory — a shared moment of harmony and togetherness. That’s exactly what we aim to create with the opening ceremony of the Gothia Cup.
The opening ceremony is the week’s major gathering. A two-hour-long show with music, dancing, fireworks, a presentation of all participating nations and joy unbounded. With 50,000 people in a packed Ullevi Stadium, this one should not be missed!
Note: Children aged 4 and under are free when sitting on parents lap in the Stadium

Previous participants have compared it to an Olympic ceremony and that’s the idea. The atmosphere surrounding the opening ceremony is electric enough to make you shiver with excitement. It’s a memory you’ll remember and smile at for the rest of your life.
Gothia Cards (children aged 4 and under are free when sitting on parents lap)
Our Opening Ceremony Tickets also include Gothia Cup Cards which give free travel on local buses/trams during the week of the tournament and discounted-price entry into Liseberg Theme Park.. although you may still have to pay for rides!
Gothia Cup Cards are valid for free travel from the Sunday and are not available for us to send before the tournament.
All collections will be from World Youth Tournaments in the Lobby of the Scandic Opalen Hotel in central Gothenburg – 6.00pm on Sunday 12th July and Monday 13th July before the Opening Ceremony.
